Older engine platforms like the Detroit Diesel DDEC3/4 and Cummins Celect Plus use J1587 data communication, while newer truck chassis expect J1939 protocol. That mismatch prevents the engine ECM from communicating with the chassis electronics, causing gauge and switch functionality issues.  This harness repair kit is designed specifically for our 250K Baud Rate Data Management Processor (GPLM-04).
