In engine conversions, the new Caterpillar, Cummins, or Detroit Diesel powerplant often requires replacement or engine-specific sensors to bridge ECM signals with chassis electronics—preventing dead gauges, diagnostic codes, or incomplete monitoring from mismatched or missing components.
